Covad has said it will add a Voice over IP product to its DSL product in metro areas by third quarter 2004. The product will ship with full directory assistance and 911 service as standard. Unlimited local calling will be combined with choices for long distance, up to and including unlimited long distance. There is no press release on the Covad site yet but the plan is mentioned here at Phone+ magazine. In another Covad announcement they will partner with AT&T to bundle AT&T local and long distance phone service with their lines press release.
